    Transportation
What was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?

This time I had to travel with seniors and children and I was originally thinking Air travel is better considering the timings. But I realized the to-from journey and the wait time and security check etc is going to add up and the trip would take pretty much the same time. I had to leave very early in the morning which was the challenging part and had to pack some food also for the travel that can cover a few meals. Besides that the trip itself was more relaxed once I got to sit in the train and enjoy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

Being a vegetarian I have given less thought to this and only a few years back learnt about the negative impacts of meat on the environment. Staying healthy by reducing animal products also is healthy for the environment. This summer I was fortunate enough to grow a backyard vegetable garden and am eating from it mostly. Hopefully the fruit trees produce more in the upcoming years. Given the fall weather pear and apple are my go to fruits.

How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

It is quite rewarding, last year I had planted several fruits trees last year and this year planted some flowering trees in Spring. Yesterday decided to plant the four peach trees and the mulberry. It was a bit of a hard work but the recent rains made the ground ready.
