I like this challenge. Sometimes I do forget to be eco friendly but this challenge always reminds me that I should change some things I do!

It has been nice figuring out that my family is not as dependent on meat in their meals as much as we had thought. All of my kids take to meatless dishes just fine, and it's cool knowing that helps us out economically as well as environmentally.

Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn about Local Indigenous Practices
What did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?

I’m doing a ten month series of webinars on indigenous peoples, and what I know is how much I don’t know. Indigenous people have thousands of years of very specific environmental knowledge. Right now, what I can do is listen and learn.

I love learning new things, and this year will be all about indigenous peoples for me. I can’t wait to start a ten month class. I’m very happy to see indigenous learning in the ecochallenge.

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Janet Beach Davis's avatar
Janet Beach Davis 10/10/2023 8:03 PM
Ok, this is worrisome. These dates mean nothing, aren’t truly “safety” dates, and don’t even have to be there!
