Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, including electronics and metals.

Homecoming commute challenge!
KEEN is encouraging staff to return to House PDX 2 days per week starting 10-10-23. I will either make my commute a "multi-function" (not just a commute) car trip or use public transit.

Sara Bowersox 10/25/2023 3:59 PMOur neighborhood potluck had "pig & chicken" bins ready for food scraps. We also encouraged folks to take extra food home - in reusable containers (byo encouraged). We used real dishes, tableware and cloth napkins. Folks volunteered to wash dishes and launder napkins after the event. -
Sara Bowersox 10/16/2023 7:50 AMI try to have "no car Sunday" - but I had a memorial service to attend. Decided to load up my day with small tasks / errands to make it worth the drive. Got 3 errands done and caught my niece's basketball game. As long as I am out and about, I'll make it count!!!! -

Sara Bowersox 10/05/2023 4:05 PMTo encourage smaller portions and reduce food waste I am doing more with leftovers. Hubby & I enjoyed a "small plates" dinner earlier this week using tidbits from 3 previous meals. Delicious, easy and no food waste! -
