    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

i would rather use it on money that benefits me, such as rent or utilities. i've found recently that i've been throwing out a bunch of food, but that's because it's just my food now and not my families. acknowledging how wasteful i'm being will help me shopping for groceries because i will be able to think about whether or not the food i want to buy is actually needed for my diet.

What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

since the weather has been getting colder, i've enjoyed being able to wear my sweaters around campus. i love the cold air. i live on south limestone, which means i have to cross that intersection for classes everyday. i wish the lights were not as long because it takes up a lot of time standing while waiting for the crosswalk to turn to the walk signal. i think that would make it more enjoyable.
