REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
meghan clancy 10/09/2023 9:24 AMi would rather use it on money that benefits me, such as rent or utilities. i've found recently that i've been throwing out a bunch of food, but that's because it's just my food now and not my families. acknowledging how wasteful i'm being will help me shopping for groceries because i will be able to think about whether or not the food i want to buy is actually needed for my diet. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
meghan clancy 10/09/2023 9:21 AMsince the weather has been getting colder, i've enjoyed being able to wear my sweaters around campus. i love the cold air. i live on south limestone, which means i have to cross that intersection for classes everyday. i wish the lights were not as long because it takes up a lot of time standing while waiting for the crosswalk to turn to the walk signal. i think that would make it more enjoyable.
