I will listen to at least 2 podcasts and share what I have learned with others.

Energy Awareness Month

During National Energy Awareness Month, I will commit to practicing energy conservation daily. This includes turning off lights when leaving a room, using natural daylight when possible, being conscious about thermostat settings and learning more about how small actions can lead to significant energy savings.

COMPLETED 3

Transportation

Share the Ride Week

During the third week of October, I will encourage carpooling for business-related activities for my commute to work whenever possible. Coordinate with my colleagues or fellow employees attending the same event or meeting to share a ride. This not only reduces carbon emissions but also fosters team collaboration and cost savings.

I love candles and love Harlem Candle Company - I knew they were black/woman owned - amazing fragrances too. Check them out!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I've been using the same cup to bring my coffee for so long now it's just what I do. It was also a great reason to invest in a cup I wouldn't normally buy but since "it's for work" I justified the expense.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
How did practicing daily energy conservation during Energy Awareness Month affect your overall energy consumption habits? What specific changes did you notice, and how do you plan to continue these practices beyond this challenge?
