Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
Wow!.. I didn't think it was that bad...though over at Green towers, my personal carbon footprint is just under 20 tonnes of CO2 per year... definitely has given me some food for thought. The calculator was developed by the OU in 2018, so it is possible some of the impacts have even increased. More to do! https://drawdown.ecochallenge.org/dashboards
Those doing a carbon footprint calculation may struggle with the resources provided by Ecochallenge as well as the units. I found some resources online for the UK, though mnay are via "companies". I found an independent one from the Open University, https://students.open.ac.uk/candc/carbon_calculator/ that works well.
...they seek them here...they seek them there...and can you find a climate friendly supermarket, anywhere? This tool my help :) https://www.climatefriendlysupermarkets.org/
How is it going asks the platform?, well not too bad. The main thing here is remembering to check in regularly and pay attention to those commitments to do things :)
So far so good, first job is to remember to check in daily. A surprising few things I already do, though more to work on, including some one-time tasks.
