I was shocked to learn how much carbon dioxide trees can store! "
Forests’ power to store carbon dioxide through the simple process of tree growth is staggering: one tree can store an average of about 48 pounds of carbon dioxide in one year. Recent research shows intact forests are capable of storing the equivalent of the carbon dioxide emissions of entire countries such as Peru and Colombia.

For this reason, policy makers and business leaders must create and enforce ambitious policies and incentives to prevent deforestation, foster reforestation of degraded land, and support the sustainable management of standing forests in the fight against climate change"

Sometimes on walks, I listen to a pod cast but this time I called a few of my friends and relatives and it was so wonderful to be enjoying all of the conversations while being out and about!

Today I made a egg scramble with all of our remaining veggies, toasted up random scraps of bread left and slice a bunch of fruit that was past prime and made smoothies.

I really watch the amount of food I put on my plate and share this information with our family as well. Additionally, we always eat leftovers if/when too much is cooked. Even scraps from peel carrots go into carrot cake muffins I make :)

Great job, Justine. I don't drink a lot of coffee, but I am yet to find out if our local Starbucks store allows for customer's own reusable cups. I need to check this out. Thanks for sharing.
