I have never heard of this term before (silverpasture). After learning more about it I think the biggest advantage is that the cows would be healthier if you had a silver pasture.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

My diet is very bad for the planet. My diet is very unhealthy. I eat way too many foods that have palm oil. I can improve my diet by switching to eat more plant based food choices and using or trying to use an alternative oil while baking.

Don't chastise yourself too badly. If you are attempting vegetarian/vegan - it's huge. Palm oil is literally in so many of our food items and so hard to avoid. Kudos to have awareness about it. Seaweed may provide alternative to palm oil - so stay tuned and thanks for being here. The honesty is refreshing!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

For increasing the implementation of passive geothermal heat pumps, lawmakers could pass policies that give tax incentives to building owners

For increasing the number of active geothermal power plants, lawmakers could earmark money for these large- scale projects.
