REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Brad Kurowski 10/31/2023 7:57 AMI have not heard the term silvopasture before. I think the biggest advantages are less work for farms and better animal health, more milk, and more meat production. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Brad Kurowski 10/30/2023 7:31 AMI think my diet is pretty good right now. I don't drink coffee, I don't eat things with palm oil in them and I don't eat too much Animal Products. I do have chocolate sometimes which I could decrease. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityHad you ever heard of biomass technology before you took this challenge? What did you learn that surprised you? Share your new knowledge with your friends!

REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Brad Kurowski 10/24/2023 7:42 AMThe most feasible investment is letting people know about it and trying to make people in the government and others implement it. We can do this by telling representatives and telling people what we learned. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Brad Kurowski 10/19/2023 8:12 AMEating meat is not very good for your body and our planet. People in richer countries eat more meat because it is tastes good and is easy to access for them. -

-
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?
Brad Kurowski 10/17/2023 7:18 AMIt can put a whole in the ozone layer. Supermarkets have a negative impact because they have giant refrigerators. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Brad Kurowski 10/17/2023 7:10 AMIt affects me because it makes me feel more healthy and it helps other people because if you eat local fruits and veggies it helps their buisness and it helps our planet because it isnt junk food and meat is bad for the planet. -
