REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksAs you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?
Gus Levin 10/31/2023 8:08 AMI am more careful with what I do and I make sure that I am not doing something that could negatively affect the environment. When we learn something serious that could cause harm to our environment and people's/animals lives it can feel overwhelming. The parts that feel hopeful are the solutions to the problems and what people are doing to stop disasters. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Gus Levin 10/31/2023 7:44 AMI had never heard of the term silvopasture but I think it is a great Idea that has a lot of benefits, personally I think that the biggest advantage of a silvopasture is that it is humane to the livestock and lets them have a good time to be shaded and hidden from the wind -

REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Gus Levin 10/24/2023 7:48 AMPassive seems the most viable because lawmakers can give property owners incentives like tax credits which will reduce the money they spend out of pocket to get passive geothermal installed in their buildings. For active geothermal, lawmakers can pass policies that help businesses pay for large scale active geothermal power plants to be built. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?
