REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
William Lusby 10/11/2023 4:21 PMI think a large part of my desire to swap to electric or hybrid is that gas costs have gotten far higher. It is important to me to find a way to save money while also helping the environment and I believe hybrid vehicles are a fantastic way to go about that. I also think it is just important to speak with our wallets and incentivize companies to invest in a greener future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhat did you cook and how did it turn out? Can you share a recipe on the feed for others to try?
William Lusby 10/11/2023 4:17 PMI made a salmon filet with a lemon and herb sauce! It was pretty easy to make as long as you have a food processor and overall I would def recommend it to people. Honestly I did not use a recipe. When I cook are typically just use whatever ingredients I have free to make something special. The ingredients were salmon, dill, lemon juice, garlic, and parsley, and butter! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered SinksWhat recipe did you make and how did it turn out? Will you cook with seaweed again?
William Lusby 10/11/2023 4:11 PMI made spam musubi with me seaweed as it was simple and easy to prepare along with making for a great mid week snack! It was easy to make and delicious. I know that spam is not the most environmentally conscious item but I had it so decided to use it! I am not the largest fan of seaweed but combined with other items it works great! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
William Lusby 10/11/2023 4:08 PMI have been loving my daily walks, most of it is based around my route to school and back home but I have been taking detours to experience new things. I believe that the walks are helping me form a deeper connection with the area and lets me remember the locations of my community better. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
William Lusby 10/11/2023 4:07 PMI believe that engagement increases significantly when using muscle powered transportation. The journey takes far more of a center stage and allows you a deeper connection with your environment with more time to look around. Overall providing a more grounded feel with your community.
