  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

    Nick Marron's avatar
    Nick Marron 10/27/2023 4:07 PM
Obviously gas prices are crazy, which is motivating. More importantly, the more EVs out there, the better the charging networks get, which is sometimes a limiting factor for people considering EVs
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Nick Marron's avatar
    Nick Marron 10/27/2023 4:05 PM
This has helped to reduce food waste for my family heavily. I consume products that look expired but actually are still good. this has changed both my purchasing and consumption
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
Which businesses that you researched are you excited to support? Are you already supporting businesses that you didn't know were owned by women, people of color, or immigrants?

Being very close, through family, to the indigenous people of Guam, I try to support any businesses that I can that helps the people back on the island, as well as people here that are continuing to grow the culture.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

    Nick Marron 10/12/2023 8:41 AM
While I haven't made the most responsible choices prior to learning more about best choices, now I can and will make responsible seafood decisions!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
Are bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?

    Nick Marron's avatar
    Nick Marron 10/11/2023 11:19 AM
Yes. When picnicking, or packing a lunch to take somewhere thats not my home, I choose bamboo chopsticks as the way I always eat my food.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?

    Nick Marron's avatar
    Nick Marron 10/11/2023 11:17 AM
This is such an easy win, and I appreciate the motivation to get this done
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    Nick Marron's avatar
    Nick Marron 10/11/2023 11:16 AM
Honestly, I'd rather use that money anywhere that ISNT just throwing it away.
