Cassidy Dawsen Mecham 10/11/2023 3:43 PMBamboo products can be found online, when sold by big cooperations like amazon which produce massive amount of emmisionsmit feels contradictive. I was able to find some bamboo utensils at the market of choice. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat are the most pressing issues for women, girls, and trans/nonbinary people in your community?
Cassidy Dawsen Mecham 10/11/2023 3:34 PMunfortunately in most college towns violence and sexual assault against women is a huge problem. I have worked with CARDV here in Corvallis to help women feel supported. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Cassidy Dawsen Mecham 10/11/2023 3:22 PMmy next step is to be more aware of the energy I'm using. I often realize I will have every light on in my house when it's unnecessary, especially during the day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Cassidy Dawsen Mecham 10/11/2023 2:59 PMEating more fruits and veggies allows me to have a more balanced diet and well as consume more fiber-rich foods. By eating more veggies I can reduce my meat consumption and allow for less greenhouse gas emissions to be produced over time.
