  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

It's astonishing how much food and money go to waste. If I had those savings, I'd channel them towards making a positive impact—specifically, giving back to the community and supporting charities and organizations dedicated to combating hunger. Redirecting those funds to help those in need seems like a meaningful way to turn waste into something truly valuable.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

Maintaining a diet abundant in fruits and vegetables offers numerous health advantages, including a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Personally, I've experienced enhanced mental and physical well-being with such dietary choices. Additionally, reducing meat consumption contributes to lower greenhouse gas emissions, playing a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change.
