  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

Buying clothes second-hand is a great way to do that! Additionally, learning to sew can be a creative way to either make clothes yourself or repair/modify existing garments.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
Thank you for raising awareness of women's and gender equality issues. What is the next step to actually address this disparity?

I think the next step is addressing how these issues may impact my daily life. Maybe that means engaging in discussions with people who may think differently than me or confronting someone if they make a disrespectful comment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
How does using human-powered transportation make you feel compared to using other methods of transportation?

It is empowering. I like feeling like I don't need to rely on any complex machines to get myself from one place to another.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

I think people consider meat to be more of an extravagance or luxury. However, at least in the US, we overestimate how much animal protein we actually need and consume way too much of it. Animal farming can be super harmful to the planet because of the resources it requires to maintain.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

I think supporting local farmers is the benefit I am most interested in or driven by. Among the other benefits, supporting local farmers means that they will continue to produce their crops which is usually much better for the environment than massive farms.
