Mayrin Rosales Vargas 10/21/2023 9:01 PMI would say that my ecochallenge has been pretty succesful. It's sort of become part of my routine to figure out ways to reuse, reduce, and recycle things throughout my every day life. I have shared some of this information with some of the kids at my job and although they are young, they ask lots of questions about where to throw things away and have started to learn a lot about how to reduce their own impact as well.-
Anan Srivilai 10/22/2023 12:30 AMI think it’s to teach them young? Ever since I was young, I always taught how to be eco-friendly

Mayrin Rosales Vargas 10/18/2023 8:56 PMI practice new things every day to reduce my impact on the environmental crisis. I have been mostly working on my food waste and trying to ensure that I use as much as I can from the foods I'm cooking with. I have been putting appropriate waste into a compost bin where I will hopefully start to have soil which I can use to grow my garden here at home. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat are some more "Rs" you could add to your daily practice to reduce your waste?
Mayrin Rosales Vargas 10/17/2023 2:48 PMAn "R" we can add to our daily practice is the act of reusing scraps from the meals we make. An example of this could be using the peels on a lemon to add a bit of citrus flavor into your meals. If you peel an apple, you can reuse the apple peels and turn them into apple chips. There are many different ways to reduce our food waste and to ensure that we are getting the most out of our groceries and making sure we throw away as little food as we can. -
Mayrin Rosales Vargas 10/16/2023 8:28 AMToday I made sure to ask for electronic receipts when I made purchases because then I don't have to waste paper. I made sure to talk to my family about how they can reduce their paper waste by encouraging them to use their devices when they're able to, to substitute for paper. As far as the transportation topic, I learned that when someone takes public transportation they can save up to 20 lbs of CO2 emissions every day. The air quality is better and there is less contamination going into the air that we breathe.
