REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Evy Sweasey 10/15/2023 11:54 AMI've seen some cool nature and enjoyed seeing wildlife. I went off campus to a river park and saw many snakes, frogs, and bugs that were all very important to the ecosystem. One thing I don't enjoy is walking on campus as much, this is because there is not a lot of trees and nature to look at, more just brick. I would like to see better trails in the woods, more nature, and green spaces at RIT. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat are some more "Rs" you could add to your daily practice to reduce your waste?
Evy Sweasey 10/15/2023 11:49 AMReusing: When I do get any trash, I try to figure out a way to use it again, like using old plastic containers to store something new.
Reducing: I try to limit the amount of plastic and single-use items I buy and use on the daily. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Evy Sweasey 10/15/2023 11:48 AMYou can save money by reducing your food waste, since you do not have to buy as much wasted food. Another good thing about smaller portions is that it is healthier and can allow you to eat better.
