What was the hardest item to reduce using or cut out that is plastic? Did you find a way to do it?

There are quite a few items I didn't consider when starting this plastics audit. One thing I'm finding difficult to find alternatives too is cat food. My cats have a balanced diet of wet and dry food, and the containers of wet food come in either plastic or metal. Both can be recycled, but finding cost effective alternatives to packaging is very difficult.
