  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/31/2023 8:59 AM
Walk or bike when you can.
Use the bike-share programs if your city or town has them.
    Take public transit when possible.
Carpool with friends instead of driving alone.
    Use ride-sharing services.
Plan ahead to make the most of your trips and “trip chain.” If your grocery store is near other places you need to visit, do it all at once.
Work from home periodically if your job allows it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    Srivathsa Voleti Venkata's avatar
Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/30/2023 11:11 AM
There are several steps to reduce the electricity usage:-
    1. Using the power when needed.
    2. Usage of water indirectly impacts the electricity usage .
    3. Using steps than elevator or lift.
    4. I will use and prefer sunlight than using lights in the day time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Diversifying our energy supply and improving public health are just two benefits of renewable energy. What other motivators inspire you to consider installing a solar water heater in your home?

    Srivathsa Voleti Venkata's avatar
Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/30/2023 9:56 AM
The main reason of using the solar water heater was:-
    1. In our home place most of the times we will be seeing the sun, sun will be there even in winter seasons and in rainy seasons.
    2. Where we can get the hot water for long lasting time.
3, And it was the pure form of heating the water.
    4. And one time investment, low maintenance.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

The coastal site we will be visiting regularly was, there was a place called Kothapatnam beach it was far of 8KM's from my home. We can learn so many things from mother nature.

    Srivathsa Voleti Venkata's avatar
Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/30/2023 8:17 AM
We group of friend's will be going to beach on every weekend, and we will spend 1hour to clean some of the area's where there was plastic and any of the waster was thrown, we will collect them into one place and we will dispose them into garbage bin's.
And we will spend some time at sun set time.
we can see that in some of the places when we have cleaned at that places some of the crabs are started coming into the shore.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Can biochar provide additional benefits besides sequestering carbon?

    Srivathsa Voleti Venkata's avatar
Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/30/2023 8:12 AM
Biochar is considered one of the best organic fertilizers due to its stability and ability to retain nutrients that reduce leaching
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry
What was the hardest item to reduce using or cut out that is plastic? Did you find a way to do it?

    Srivathsa Voleti Venkata's avatar
Srivathsa Voleti Venkata 10/30/2023 8:06 AM
The hardest time to cut the plastic was in the covid time, where people can't able to use the same things.
And I started my way's to cut the plastic was I will be using the jute bags whenever I am going out to buy the vegetables or any type of things I will use jute bag instead of plastic covers.
