October 30 at 2:39 PMFirstly, it's important to make sure that the offset is real and verifiable - that you're actually supporting something that will offset your carbon emissions. It's also important to make sure that it is actually making a positive difference, and a permanent one. In other words, not just shifting the harm elsewhere or putting it off for a few...

October 25 at 4:24 PMHow about "reheat"? Saving my leftovers for later instead of throwing them away so I don't waste food!

October 25 at 4:16 PMWhen I spend time outdoors, I find myself noticing the small things about my environment. Whenever I take the time to explore nature, I find something new that I hadn't noticed before. Especially now, in the fall, there is so much evidence of how the environment is constantly changing: from more obvious things, like the leaves, to more subtle...

October 24 at 2:39 PMI had been using single-use paper towels around the dorm, which I have substituted for washable and reusable cloths. I will continue to keep paper towels around, but aim to use them much more sparingly or avoid using them when possible

October 24 at 2:35 PMI've been continuing to recycle plastics and cardboards that I use in the dorm. I have also invested in a Brita water filter to cut down on my usage of plastic water bottles

One thing I don't enjoy is walking on campus as much, this is because there is not a lot of trees and nature to look at, more just brick. I would like to see better trails...

October 15 at 11:49 AMReusing: When I do get any trash, I try to figure out a way to use it again, like using old plastic containers to store something new. Reducing: I try to limit the amount of plastic and single-use items I buy and use on the daily.

October 15 at 11:48 AMYou can save money by reducing your food waste, since you do not have to buy as much wasted food. Another good thing about smaller portions is that it is healthier and can allow you to eat better.
-
October 14 at 2:40 PMI pay attention to how much I'm eating so I don't over eat. I then can save that food for later and don't buy as many snacks or other food I don't need.
